“In collaboration with the City of South Pasadena, SPARC’s Art Box Project began in 2015 as SPARC commissioned professional artists to elevate the city’s utility boxes with vivid abstract designs and images reflecting the City’s iconic wild parrots, its history, and its place along iconic Route 66. The Art Box Poems features photographs of these transformed boxes, each commemorated in the work of poet Rick Leddy, who was inspired by the project."
